The Graduate Institute of Clinical Psychology at Taipei Medical University (TMU) was established in the 2026–2027 academic year in response to the growing importance of mental health and holistic healthcare.
Building on TMU’s strong foundation in clinical medicine and healthcare, the Institute is dedicated to cultivating clinical psychology professionals with both scientific expertise and practical competence. Following the Scientist–Practitioner model, our curriculum integrates rigorous academic training with hands-on clinical experience in psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and related professional skills.
The Institute works closely with TMU’s three major affiliated hospitals, providing students with diverse opportunities for clinical training, education, and research. Our five full-time faculty members are further supported by interdisciplinary faculty in psychology, neuroscience, and related fields, as well as more than 30 experienced clinical psychologists from TMU’s affiliated hospitals.
Our educational goals are to cultivate clinical psychologists who possess strong clinical skills, scientific research literacy, interdisciplinary competence, global perspectives, and cross-cultural communication abilities.
Through comprehensive academic and clinical training, we aim to prepare students to make meaningful contributions to mental health and well-being in Taiwan and beyond.
