Graduation Defense(Degree Examination) Orientation Fall Semester 2026

Remind that, students applying for the graduation defense will start 9 am. Sep. 14th to 5 pm. Oct. 8th 2026. Must forward to students who expect to graduate this semester.

Registration Section will hold the orientation in English sessions for students. In TMU staff session, we will announce the news about updated documents of graduation defense. Please encourage staff from the department to attend it.

  • TMU Staff Session- 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sep. 11th at Classroom 2205, Teaching Building 2F, Xinyi Campus. Apply on: https://forms.gle/tzbrH68KxahXGZmG6 (Shoungho Campus Staff could apply for online meeting room)
  • English Session – 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sep. 9th 2026 (available both in person and online meeting).

Notification:

  1. The application for the degree examination involves the thesis advisor, co-advisor, and the results of the qualifying examination. Secretary of the department/program who has not yet completed, must finish it before Sep. 11th 2026.
  2. According to the “TMU Implementation Guidelines of Master and Ph.D. Degree Examination” Article II and “Notes for Course Selection and Registration” Article III: students must complete required subjects, credits,  “Research Ethics” course and graduation requirements(including paper publish, etc.) before applying for a degree examination. And must select “Thesis”/”Dissertation” course this semester.
  3. For those who can’t follow the TMU graduation defense timetable and regulations, do not apply for the graduation defense this semester.
