International Master Program in Medicine / International Ph.D. Program in Medicine (IGPM)
About
The International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine is designed for international students with expertise as clinicians, biomedical researchers, or in other healthcare related professions. Designed specifically for international students and taught in English, the program is customizable, flexible, and provides access to high-quality research facilities through the Animal Laboratory and Core Facility Centers. The alumni are inter-national bridges between TMU and home country institutions – independent thinkers and problem solvers who improve the world through medical research cooperation.
The International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine’s world-class environment for education and research ensures that all future alumni are elite-level scholars or scientists. Able to independently initiate, conduct, and execute research projects, alumni are equipped to play significant roles in their specific professional fields. Some graduates go on to pursue further education, while others transition to careers in medicine, academics, or biomedical industries.
International Clinical Training Program (ICTP)
The International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine not only provides a wide range of master and doctoral degrees, also provides the International Clinical Training Program (ICTP) to give opportunities to the foreign clinicians to join the clinical training in the affiliated hospitals of TMU. The trainee includes senior residents, fellows and visiting scholars. The period may range from 1 month to 2 years depending on the training level and specialty. The trainees of ICTP programs may join the courses of International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine at school and participate in the patient care at hospitals under the supervision of mentors.
We encourage trainees to apply for International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine after finishing ICTP Courses taken during the ICTP will be credited in the International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine.
We value the diversity that visiting residents/fellows bring to our program, and we want to make sure that staffs from foreign institutions have every opportunity to come to TMU and experience what we have to offer.
