TMU Students

Degree to award	Master of Science (TMU)+ Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology (UniCa)

Tuition	Students must pay all relevant fees to their home institution only. Students enrolled in either TMU or UniCa must demonstrate access to social security and health insurance.

Selection criteria	Students participating in the Dual Master Degree Program from UniCa or TMU are selected and recommended by each institution according to their own regulations.

Application forms	All students are expected to have a skill-level in spoken and written (scientific) English corresponding to the European level B2 or above before departure. The required English level can also be demonstrated through other internationally recognized qualifications (e.g. IELTS).

Program introduction	The Master’s Degree Course in Cellular and Molecular Biology is aimed at completing the basic knowledge acquired with any bachelor’s degree in Biology, with the aim of providing advanced preparation in areas related to biological, biochemical and biomolecular disciplines, with focus on the comprehension of cellular and biomolecular phenomena, and to biological, biochemical and biomolecular applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnological, bioinformatics and service sectors. In particular, the Master’s Degree Course in Cellular and Molecular Biology aims to train master’s graduates who are able to carry out their professional activity in the field of basic scientific research and applied to biological phenomena at the cellular, subcellular and molecular level, with awareness of the role and the ability to interpret and promote scientific and technological development in the sector.

Program introduction	The Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences(GIMS) offers master and doctoral degrees and is divided into four subprograms including (1) Biochemistry/Cellular and Molecular Biology (MCMB), (2) Cellular Physiology/Neuroscience Science (CPNS), (3) Molecular Pharmacology (MP) and (4) Microbiology/Immunology (MI). There are total 78 faculties in GIMS including full-time professors and joint professors. As matter the fact, GIMS is a research-oriented institution and provides multidisciplinary research in medicine. GIMS has established several research teams dealing with particular diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis, cancers, neurodegeneration, stem cells and cell therapy, inflammatory diseases and infectious diseases. All of research teams possess superb record with great accomplishments achievements. The International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine(IGPM) is designed for international students with expertise as clinicians, biomedical researchers, or in other healthcare related professions. Designed specifically for international students and taught in English, the program is customizable, flexible, and provides access to high-quality research facilities through the Animal Laboratory and Core Facility Centers. The alumni are inter-national bridges between TMU and home country institutions – independent thinkers and problem solvers who improve the world through medical research cooperation. The International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine’s world-class environment for education and research ensures that all future alumni are elite-level scholars or scientists. Able to independently initiate, conduct, and execute research projects, alumni are equipped to play significant roles in their specific professional fields. Some graduates go on to pursue further education, while others transition to careers in medicine, academics, or biomedical industries.
